GINA'S STORY
A café dream,
brought to life.
For ten years, Gina held onto one big dream: owning a café of her own.
She left her family in Xi’an and moved to Australia as a teenager. While learning English, finishing high school and attending university, she worked and saved toward the future she had pictured for herself.
In 2023, Gina poured everything she had into purchasing Milk Money Espresso. Taking over an established local café was exciting, but learning to run a business brought a steep learning curve and plenty of challenges.
Backed by a strong team, she kept going. She refreshed the space, built on the café’s much-loved food and added her own touches to a menu known for bold toasties, generous breakfasts and house-made flavour.

A local café with heart. Robina locals backed Gina and the café through its next chapter. Today, Milk Money is the kind of place where regulars are greeted by name and coffee comes with a chat.
Family came full circle. Gina’s family later joined her in Australia, while the homestay family who supported her for five years still visits Milk Money for meals.
